PROJECT FEASIBILITY STUDY

As per the Sec 79A of the MCS Act 1960, the society after having decided to go for redevelopment should appoint an Architect/PMC to prepare the Project Feasibility Report to understand the techno-economic sustainability of the project.

The project feasibility report is a replica of the proposed redevelopment. Hence a project feasibility report should not be made just to give the society a mere clue or idea of what can be achieved in a feasibility report but a report should contain facts and figures which make the project workable in reality. There are many consultants who will readily provide you a feasibility report with a rosy picture of the proposed redevelopment.

However, a Project Feasibility Report should contain the reality of whether a project is workable or not and the consultant should be competent enough to provide guidance as to make the project workable under the regulations and various schemes provided under MCGM/BMC DCPR 2034.
